Tips For Effective SEO

When Google changed the rules for SEO to make it harder for black hat Internet marketers to game the search engine, many people felt that SEO was dead. However, there is still a place for SEO techniques, not just to attract traffic, but also to monetize your site. The problem comes in when people start following formulas that don't change and adapt with the market.
SEO is time-sensitive. What may be a brilliant strategy in one time-frame can end up being panned by Google in another. That's what happened with all those people who took such great care to stuff their meta tags with keywords. Now, they're basically ignored. If that was their entire SEO strategy, it would have left them with a rapidly declining page rank and virtual anonymity in the search engine result pages. So, try to follow good, time-tested, rules of practice that can keep your site active and ranking near the top of the search engine pages.
These strategies may sound like common sense, and they are. You should try to keep up with changes as Google changes their algorithm so that you don't end up being affected negatively by a change in their policies. But, using straightforward common sense can also help to keep you doing fine when others are scrambling to implement new strategies to make up for poorly thought out choices earlier. So, let's review some ways to make the SEO in your articles and press releases have a timeless quality to them.
Choose Familiar Words
Don't try to get too fancy or hog all the trendy words coming out for SEO keyword phrases. While they are great for a short time, they'll eventually fall out of favor and so will your traffic. Try to stick to keyword phrases with familiar words in them that also have been checked for low competition, high CPC and search volume. You may not get everything you want from those criteria, but try to get whatever you can.
Choose Words That Follow The Goldilocks Rule
The keywords you want to focus on shouldn't be too narrow or too broad in scope, just like your website niche. That's to help you target the demographic in a way that generates the most traffic that you can from it.
Start Small
If you don't have a whole lot of time to devote to SEO, don't worry about it. What's most important is to get a start on it. You can start with just developing a niche from SEO research or using it to add value to your advertising campaigns. Don't feel like you have to go whole hog and flood every press release with tons of keywords. Don't think you're not doing it right if you don't have time to join a social network or write for article directories. Do what you can and learn as you go.

Using Backlinks in Your Articles to Elevate Search Engine Rank Status

Using Backlinks in Your Articles to Elevate Search Engine Rank Status

In the first few part of this e-book we were able to emphasize the great importance of utilizing search engines in order for you to generate more traffic for your website. When it comes to utilizing search engines, it should always be your top priority to get high on the rankings list all the time (or at least, as often as you can) in order to ensure greater traffic count. This seemingly overwhelming task need not put any pressure on you as an article marketer - there are ways to achieved success: through backlinks.
You might have heard of them before or the concept is unfamiliar to you until now. Backlinks are what you might call external links that can be found on the web sites of other people that point back to your own site. It is therefore of utmost importance to build backlinks because it ensures that your website ranks high for whatever search terms people use and eventually leads them to your webpage. This is the key to good search engine optimization. Backlinks are also called inbound links and can either be exchanged with other webmasters or purchased for a fee. If you want to know the value of your backlinks based on Internet website popularity, check it out on Google PageRank, AlexaRank or other such tools.
What must be taken into consideration is the quality of the link. It is always wise to place a link in a page that has relevant content as a way of offering the viewer an extension of the topic that he or she wishes to read up on. Steer clear of websites that are irrelevant or infrequently visited. Storing your link there is practically a guarantee of an absence of visitors.
While you might want to work as fast as you can and create lots of backlinks, you are also advised to create as many quality links as you can. Link creation should not be done in a haphazard way because Google can penalize your website for holding a good number of "junk" or "irrelevant" links. When this happens, your website drops several rung down in the search engine ranks. Additional penalties can be incurred if you get caught purchasing a number of links. This results in the removal of your website from Google's listings page.
And so we reiterate that backlinks must be of top quality and placed strategically for it to yield great results for your site. The safest method that you can employ is to create quality content for your website in order to gain organic or natural backlinks. These organic or natural backlinks represent pages that have met the high standards of web visitors and clients and will definitely elevate your position in the search engine rankings.

Using the Google Keyword Tool

The Google keyword tool is generally used by Internet marketers to find high paying keywords or to get ideas for keywords. It can also be used to find out how popular a particular keyword phrase is because the keyword tool gives you an ideal of the monthly search volume for each term listed.
When you first get into the keyword tool, you will be able to look up any keyword or keyword phrase, including synonyms that might be being tracked by Google in their Adwords campaigns. Once the results lists come up, you will have the option to show or hide some columns with a drop-down list that says, "Show/Hide columns." When you open that drop-down list, you will see the option to show the estimated average CPC. Choose this one to add some more depth to the list and to be able to compare the monthly search volume and popularity with the potential value of the keyword phrases.
What's nice about this tool is that you can put in one of the terms in your brainstorming list and by seeing which have a low competition with a high search volume, or a high search volume with a high CPC, you will be able to figure out which keyword phrases and associated niches will attract better advertising dollars from Google.
We are going to go over SEO more in the next chapter, but for now, be aware that what you are trying to do is figure out which of your brainstorming ideas can be backed up as a great niche for your upcoming website. So, you put in "home brewing" into the Google keyword tool and you quickly find out that while you are quite the enthusiast, others are not as interested as the term has a low CPC value and the advertisers aren't paying much.
You'll notice down the list, however, that "beer brewing" has a CPC over a dollar and a search volume of 60,500. This is better, but not by much. So, then you search more terms and you find out that wine making, on the other hand, has a very high CPC value compared to beer making and that home canning has almost no value whatsoever. So, that means, that while you might want to focus solely on beer making, it wouldn't be a good idea. That niche is too narrow to attract the type of attention you want.
Remember that there are millions of people on the Internet and you want to get a niche that can appeal to a specific market segment. Right now, if you use beer making, you will attract some attention, but not much. And, worse, the advertising dollars don't appear to be going there as much as with wine making. So, if you choose wine making, again it's a better niche, but is this too broad a niche? Are you going to be able to target just those people who wan tot make wine at home, and not everybody who wants to drink wine on special occasions? So, you look up more keywords and find more targeted phrases like "wine supplies" that have a good CPC and search volume without being overly competitive.
By the way, are you a coach, consultant, entrepreneur, speaker, small business owner or online marketer who is tired of getting paid less than you are worth for your coaching and consulting?
What if you could learn how to package and sell your coaching packages for $4k, $8k, even $12k or $25k and enroll multiple clients per month at those prices?

Why is SEO So Important2?

What is SEO?
What is SEO? SEO stands for search engine optimization and is the process of optimizing, or maximizing your webpages, and the linking structure of other webpages, which link to your webpage in such a way that the search engines give you higher rankings for your chosen keywords.
Why Is SEO So Important?
So why is SEO so important? Millions of people daily search for information on the search engines. For any given search term, there are anywhere from a few hundred to a few million search results that reference that given search term. Generally speaking, the search results are designed to be ranked in the order of their relevance to the searcher's search term, or keyword (or keyword phrase).
Most people, when searching for a keyword or keyword phrase, will click on one of top 10 search results on the first page of the search results, or will initiate another search. Therefore in order to gain a reasonable amount of search engine traffic, a website should appear in the top 10 search results for a given keyword. Given the fact that there are for some keywords millions, literally millions of websites having some relevance to the keyword, it can often be a difficult feat, if not almost impossible, to get your webpage in the first 10 search results for a given keyword.
However, by learning the techniques by which the search engines decide which webpages should show in the top 10 search results of a given keyword or keyword phrase, and by optimizing your Web site, in such a way that your website outperforms other websites or webpages in the search engines algorithms, you can literally send your website or webpage to the top 10 search results in the search engines, surpassing many other webpages and websites, if you know what to do.
Many of the guidance, tutorials and information on SEO, in my opinion, are overloaded with far too much detail, and multiple things to do to obtain good search engine rankings without indicating which few of those things to do are actually relevant and necessary to get the top 10 search engine rankings. My personal opinion is that the reason for this is that most of the producers of SEO information are geared towards selling SEO products, software, and advanced tools. By making SEO out to be something very difficult for the average webmaster to perform, it makes their products, software and advanced tools more salable.
However, I believe that SEO can be done in the average webmaster or the average Internet Web business owner with relatively little effort, if the basic tools are understood.
In the past, I have avoided writing on the SEO topic, because in a lot of ways it deviates for my specialization, which is list building an article marketing. However, I am appalled at the lack of good SEO information and have therefore decided to write this short book to teach you what I have learned in the last six months that has enabled me to drive massive traffic to various websites and webpages.

Such queries and mind curiosities brought about yet another phenomenon that people have to ponder upon - the search engine optimization or the SEO.

An attempt to give a better and much concrete definition to Search Engine Optimization has reached a very monumental stage. Not so long ago, one great Internet expert and enthusiast has defined the term search engine optimization that has been used by many online encyclopedias such as Wikipedia and Webopedia to name a few as the method that is first and fore mostly aimed at the improvement on the popularity and recognition that a website may have on popular search engines -thus, the word optimization of the search engine. Why Are Backlinks Important?

In simple terms, a backlink is defined as an incoming link to a website or web page. Backlinks oftentimes are also referred to as incoming or inbound links as well.

If you are interested in engaging in effective search engine optimization techniques, you do need to have an appreciation of the importance of banklinks. Indeed, when it comes to an effective SEO strategy, banklinks can be a crucial element of an overall campaign.

Backlinks are important because they are recognized by search engines. Specifically, a search engine will recognize a website or web page that has a larger number of backlinks as being a “more popular” Internet venue. The search engine will recognize the website with multiple backlinks as being “more important” when it comes to definitive search engine results.

You need to keep in mind that search engines today have become more dynamic and sophisticated in their operations. Therefore, it is not simply good enough to have “any old” backlinks at your website. You need to get backlinks to your site from other websites that have a rational relationship to what you are doing at your site.

In addition, search engines will not only consider the backlinks that you have set to your own website. Search engines will consider the backlinks to the website that actually are providing inbound links to your own website.

Finally, search engines “frown upon” link farms. Link farms exist only to provide links from the farm to other websites. When it comes to SEO success and search engine rankings, link farms really are of no use to you.

Why is Search Engine Optimization Important and What are the Basics?

There are millions and millions of web sites on the World Wide Web at present. There is a high level of competition amongst the web sites due to the ever increasing number of web sites on the web. The basic reason behind this fact is that all the web sites and web based businesses can only be profitable if the web sites get an appropriate number of web traffic visits each day.
If this is not the case, it will not be possible for a web site to be successful in business. Keeping this in view it becomes important for all the web sites to find ways of promoting themselves effectively. This is what the internet marketers are always busy in doing. These web marketers are always busy in finding ways of promoting a web site properly. Search engine optimization is one of the ways. In search Engine optimization one rearranges the text and content of the web site to make it Search engine favorite.
Search engines prefer keyword rich content. If the content of a web site has lots and lots of key words embedded in it, it is almost always easier for a search engine to pick it up when a related search is conducted.

If you want to get your web site search engine optimized, you will need to redo the content of your web site. Add keywords and tag to the content. You will also need to add the links to your web site to other places on the web. If the links to your web site are placed appropriately on the web, you will get a higher web traffic flow.
Be sure you put your primary keywords in the keyword tag in your source code, and use your keywords in your text on the page.

Link to your page using keyword - optimized text anchor links.

These two things alone, especially the linking when done in volume, can create higher search engine rankings, which is of course the goal of search engine optimization.

Why is SEO so Important? Part I

There are so many articles and forum discussions about the essential role that search engine optimization plays in the online arena. So much have been said and discussed about this but still, so many more things they were not able to discuss and explore. These enthusiasts in search engine optimization (self-claimed experts in SEO) who talk and discuss it are merely looking at the tip of the iceberg where only a portion of it is being shown and exposed.

Little do they realize that beneath the tip of the iceberg is a lot more and to tell you, really so much more to discover and explore about search engine optimization-- so much more that a day of discussion would not suffice such an intelligent exchange of ideas. However, I would like to make it a point that to better understand and appreciate the nature of search engine optimization, you need to have a very firm knowledge about why such method needs to exist. How important is it to know the dynamics of it? What good does it bring the business and the site when utilized? When you have a clear understanding about all these, then you will be a step ahead of getting to really know the simplicity and the complexity that SEO possesses.
Search engine optimization is a well thought process that involves analysis and construction of a part or totality of the site to have it get indexed by several existing search engines for net users to visit. With the initial launch of your site on the net, it gets to be popular with search engines and the net visitors for about a couple or more months. When lucky enough, your site will get indexed with such a short period of time. However, it takes more than a good design and content for your web sites to get recognition and good ranking from your search engines. This is where search engine optimization gets into the picture. This is where it becomes more essential and significant.

Why is SEO so Important? Part II

Search engine optimization is important because it allows for your websites to get discovered by many potential visitors. The question here is how? With the search engine optimization it makes it easier for your website to gain mileage from the search engine. You see search engines together with their crawling and spidering tools makes it possible for your site to gain a better ranking on the search engine results page. This is where you get the top notch on the results page when the search engine does searching and locating. If the search engine sees your website that contains worthy things, then it gets to rank it better - the SEO does the enhancement of your site content.

Then you may be asking, can a site not acquire mileage of popularity with the powerful advertisements that most businesses put onto their site? Truly, that one can greatly help, but only to a certain degree. Remember, the advertisements that you put on your marketing arms are not as wide in coverage that search engines has. If you are able to place your site on the top rank based on the systematic ranking methods that search engines make use, then you may not be in need of any other forms of advertisements in the near future.

Search engine optimization's importance is something that is one cannot measure in terms of quantifying it by numbers. The importance of it goes way beyond what it can do to your site and to your business. You Need to Learn SEO to Effectively Use CPA and PPC Monetization

If you haven't even started to create your web business, you have the most to gain from learning the concepts of arbitrage and search engine optimization. It's much harder to go back to web pages that have already been written and offers that have already been created, to include the keyword phrases, particularly if you can't even find valuable keywords for that niche market.
The reason for this is that many Internet marketers put the cart before the horse when they create an online business. They think if they have a hobby of crocheting that this will make a profitable web site. They think just because it's something they love, and know thousands of other people love it too, and that are passionate enough to make it work, they can make money in that niche.
We've all heard the Internet gurus piping up with "do what you love and the money will follow." If that were true, there'd be no reason to learn the techniques for attracting traffic because all anyone would have to do is slap any website together on a topic they love and wait for the profits to roll in.
Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? That's because it is. There's more to setting up a successful online business than just loving what you do and picking a topic you are passionate about. You also have to pick a niche that the market is excited about too, is large enough to bare more competition and that has enough disposable income to have interest in your higher paying ads and products!
So how can you figure out what that market should be? Well, actually, understanding that keywords pay out based on the popularity of a particular topic, you can easily research which market niches are worth pursuing by learning how to use the Google Keyword Tool (It comes free with your Free Adwords Account), that is used with SEO techniques. So, SEO is definitely not dead, and learning some of the tools available to help you research markets by keywords, is going to help you develop a sound business plan that leads to success.
Now if you are just getting started and haven't even gotten your first web site up, don't fret! That's the best time to find out about all these concepts. They will put your foot on the right path and increase your chances of making a good income with every new thing that you learn. And, what's best is that your sites will look more professional, attract more attention, and can be flipped to other web buyers if you decide you get tired of them. Just adding a little extra effort to learn niche marketing and SEO can make a site very attractive to prospective buyers.

Testimonials For Backlinks Part I

One strategy that you might want to employ when it comes to developing backlinks to your site involves the writing of testimonials. In addition, you can also create professionally drafted and appropriate request letters through which you can work to gain even more backlinks to your website.
Turning to testimonials first, you will want to obtain nicely drafted and illuminating testimonials from individuals who have done business through or with your enterprise. By having these testimonials that praise your professional efforts you will have materials that will be very useful to you when it comes to seeking backlinks to your website. The bottom line is that other Internet business operators and website owners generally are pleased to associate themselves with online ventures that get high marks.
In the end, you can best demonstrate your own high marks through testimonials from other credible individuals and business that have been associated with you. Testimonials For Backlinks Part II

You may be like many individuals who dread the prospect of writing such a request letter. With that in mind, you are provided in this ebook with a sample request letter outline that you can utilize in your efforts to generate your own backlinks.
The first element of the request letter outline should be a concise explanation of what your website and your business enterprise undertake. You do not need to go into tremendous detail in this regard. People simply do not have the time to spend reading detailed information. Rather, by providing a direct and to the point overview of what you are doing you will be in the best position to appropriate market your efforts and seek backlink support.
The next element of your letter should also be short and sweet. Here you want to up front about making an appeal for backlinks. (If you are considering a link sharing effort where you exchange links back and forth, you will want to mention this at this juncture.)
The next component of a request letter should be a recitation of some of the other individuals or enterprises that have come on board with your backlink efforts. The bottom line is that an individual or entity that you are soliciting for a backlink will be more willing to get on board with you if that individual or entity sees that you already have credible support. By listing who already is on board with you, you really will be providing a clear incentive to attract new quality locations for links to your website.

Testimonials For Backlinks Part III

Finally, in your request letter you will want to conclude with a call to action. In addition, you might want to offer at this juncture some sort of reasonable and appropriate incentive to encourage an appropriate individual or enterprise to allow you a backlink.
By paying close attention to these suggestions, you will be in the best possible position to craft and develop a meaningful and truly effective request letter which will be an integral element of your overall list building efforts.
When it comes to link building, you must develop some sort of road map. You simply cannot embark on a so-called link building campaign in a willy-nilly fashion.
